Virtual Hebrew School - Sundays, 10:00 am Class Links: Print files needed for Sunday, May 17
|
Dear Parents,
Important Updates: On our original calendar, the "Moving-Up Ceremony" was scheduled for this Sunday, May 17. We would like to offer a one week extension of CHS with regular lessons this week. We would then celebrate next Sunday, May 24th, 11 am with a memorable "Zoom" Awards Ceremony with lots of festivity. Special packages will be prepared for each student. As the 24th is Memorial Day weekend, we would like to confirm with all of you that this date works for you! If Memorial Day is a conflict for the majority, we will absolutely look for an alternate date. PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL REGARDING IF THIS DATE WORKS FOR YOU.
For this coming Sunday, May 17, we will be learning about the holy land of Israel. This week's lesson centers around the Jewish people's historical and spiritual connection to Israel. The children will virtually visit places and people in our history, beginning with Avraham and Sarah! Places they will visit will be Jericho, the Eleh valley, Chevron and Jerusalem. The stories from history will come alive through a variety of mediums, including animation, sand art story telling and video. They will bake Pita with Sarah and craft a beautiful watercolor of the Kotel - Western Wall, using coffee! Please print out the files above. Thank you!

Wishing you a Shabbat Shalom! Candle-lighting is 7:52 pm tonight!
